MECHANICAL ENGINEERING // STEALTH STARTUP
I'm a mechanical engineer at Dune Industries, working on a subterranean remotely operated vehicle (ROV). Dune is still in stealth, so this is a brief overview of my work.
I designed a motor-driven self-righting gimbal with a solenoid clutch and locking mechanism around tight space and sealing constraints. I also redesigned the propulsion system, electronics capsule, offset gearbox, and drill motor section to reduce packaging size and improve reliability and assembly.
My electronics integration work covered custom PCB enclosures, sensor mounts, connector selection, harnessing, and sealing. I supported repeated bench, submersion, digging, and full-system field testing.
